We Are a Large Army

I woke before the sun did Put my shoes on said a prayer Picked up the words that outlast empires To walked into the open air Every doorstep is a promise Every street a place to sow I carry peace in every language And I go where my Father tells me go How beautiful the feet upon the mountains How beautiful the voice that carries peace He gave the word and look what we became Jehovah gives the command And we rise we are a large army From every tongue from every land With dancing feet we go where the harvest stands His good news in our hands We are a large army The women proclaiming the good news are a large army Miriam took the tambourine and danced When the sea had swallowed every chain She lifted up her voice and all the women followed Singing Jehovah's name Deborah rose and a nation listened When she spoke the mighty ran From the oldest days the daughters have been faithful Walking in Jehovah's plan And now look at what Jehovah built Millions of feet on every road In a thousand tongues the same word burns Your God has become King Every doorstep every town every nation Sisters side by side we will not be still We were born to carry this salvation And by God's own power we will How beautiful the feet that cross the oceans How beautiful the voice that will not cease He gave the word and look what we became Jehovah gives the command And we rise we are a large army From every tongue from every land With dancing feet we go where the harvest stands His salvation in our hands We are a large army The women proclaiming the good news are a large army Some days my hands shake when I knock Some days the words feel thin But Jehovah daily carries my load And He sends me out again And I am not alone I hear them Millions of voices on the road with me Millions of feet that will not stop Millions of women with the truth on their tongues And Jehovah smiles at every knock Jehovah gives the command And we rise we are a large army From every tongue from every land With dancing feet we go where the harvest stands His Kingdom in our hands We are a large army The women proclaiming the good news are a large army Sing to Jehovah For He has become highly exalted We are His large army
